At Point Guard College we’re always looking for opportunities to connect with and spotlight like- or greater-minded individuals. We encourage our grads – both athletes and coaches – to consider scribing a guest blog.
New to PGC? Guest writers who share our values for SCHAPE’ing the way the game is taught and played are also welcome to make submissions.

Guest Post Format
First and foremost, familiarize yourself with PGC. Read the articles and blogs that we write and what our readers like. We talk about the stuff all good players – and coaches – should know. Also, check out some previous guest articles that have been approved to get an idea about the format.
- First line – Choose your headline and opening carefully as this is often a make or break for readers.
- Article Text – Web readers have short attention spans. Add bold wherever required to give your article text more clarity. Try bullets, numbered lists to get a better copy. People enjoy bite-sized chunks.
- Link policy – You can link to one of your own articles in the article text.
- Images – Strongly recommended you add an image as it helps to get a better reader response. You can find some images on Flickr with Creative Commons license which can be legally shared based on the CC license. Include optimized fast loading images with maximum 460px wide to fit in our template. Provide images in “.jpg” format.
- Author By-line – All articles need some information about you. Provide a 50 word short bio that can be included at the bottom of the article. If you have a website or Twitter account, provide us the link in this section.
