100% Money-Back Guarantee:

At PGC, we stand behind the basketball education we provide to athletes and coaches. As a result, for the second year in a row, we are pleased to offer a 100% Money-Back Guarantee for all of our courses.

If you don’t feel that your PGC Basketball course made a significant impact on your game, you can have all your money back, no questions asked. Last year, out of the thousands of athletes and 400+ coaches that attended a PGC course, only eight athletes (and no coaches) asked for a refund.

The requirements for PGC’s 100% Money-Back Guarantee policy are simple:

As long as you attend all of the sessions and complete the final exam, if you are not satisfied with the basketball education you received, all you have to do is contact us in writing within three (3) days of the completion of your course to request your refund. There will be no hassle for you, but we will ask you to tell us where we fell short, so that we can continue to improve our offering for future participants.

PGC has been the most overwhelming, amazing, indescribable, life-changing experience.”
— Daymon Osborn, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

“We were delighted when Zach’s coach said to him, ‘I don’t know how much you paid to attend PGC this summer, but it was worth every penny. You’ve improved in every facet of your game.’ Thanks PGC! You’ve made a young man very happy and his father very proud.”
— Greg Tudor
, West Lafayette, Indiana.

“One of my players called her Mom after the first classroom session and said that she had already learned enough to justify the cost of the course. And she hadn’t even picked up a ball yet. Wow!”
— Coach Nick Scalf, Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Preparation For PGC:

Come to your session in the best shape possible.

One effective way to do that is by taking our basketball and life 30-Day Challenges, including the Pre-PGC 30-Day Challenge, which is available through our Online Training. Lots of PGC athletes and coaches have told us it’s well worth the small monthly investment. If you’d like a free trial, we do have one available. Visit our Online Training page to sign up now. Work hard and prepare yourself well—you’ll be glad you did.

Things To Pack:

  • Clothes (basketball shoes, shorts, shirts, socks…LOTS of socks, etc.)
  • Sheet and blanket or sleeping bag for your bed
  • Pillow, pillowcase, and towel(s)
  • Small fan (Although most rooms are air-conditioned, small fans may make the room more comfortable.)
  • Alarm clock (You’ll be responsible for getting yourself up and to sessions on time!)
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.
  • Pens and/or pencils
  • A notebook or $10.00 to purchase a PGC custom binder for your notes
  • Paper for a 3-ring binder (if you plan to purchase a PGC custom binder)
  • A basketball with your name on it (we will only be playing indoors)
  • A water bottle with your name on it
  • A tennis ball (mark your ball to distinguish it from others) for Prep School and Essentials courses ONLY
  • 5 unfilled balloons (any size and color) for Prep School courses ONLY
  • Athletic tape — if you have an injury that requires it
  • Your $75 key deposit check made out to PGC. (This will be returned to you when you turn in your key at check out.)
  • Your completed Medical Release and Liability Waiver and Personal Information Sheet (along with a picture) — These forms will be collected at check-in on the opening day. DO NOT mail these forms to us in advance.

Healthy Snacks
As athletes typically get hungry after evening gym sessions, healthy protein snack bars and energy electrolyte drink powders will be available for purchase at check-in. We recommend bringing extra money to purchase these snacks or bring your own healthy snacks. On occasion, dorm rooms will have a refrigerator in them, but that is typically not the case. Please note that athletes are not permitted to cook in the dorms.

Extra Spending Money
There will be PGC custom binders, books, bags, t-shirts, shorts and other merchandise on sale at check-in and check-out, so we recommend bringing extra money. Also, on the final night athletes typically order pizza at the conclusion of our late night gym session.

Do Not Bring:
Do not bring a Wii, X-box, PS3, DS, iPad or other similar items to your session. Players who bring these items to PGC are usually not serious athletes—they are campers. You won’t be spending that much time in the dorms, and when you are in the dorms, you and most of your fellow athletes will want to rest up for the next session. Come to PGC to learn as much as you can.

Injuries:

If you are injured prior to your session, we recommend that you still attend. Many athletes have done this, and nearly every athlete has said they were glad they did. The majority of teaching takes place in the classroom, so as long as you can write and sit in a chair, you’ll get all the information that every other athlete receives. Please note: If you decide not to attend your course due to an injury, our cancellation policy still applies.

During sessions, we do our best to ensure that an Athletic Trainer will be on site to provide ice and first aid as needed. If an emergency arises with an athlete, the athlete will be referred to a local medical facility and parents will be notified.

Flying to a Session:

If you are flying to a PGC session, you are responsible for coordinating your own transportation to and from the host college. To assist you, we have outlined a recommended airport, the distance from the airport to the host college, and a recommended shuttle service for each PGC location (Airport and Shuttle Service list).

Flight Times: We recommend booking a flight on the morning of your session that will allow you to arrive at the host college for check-in before 1pm. If you arrive at the college before check-in begins, that is not a problem (just bring a book to read!). If you have to arrive a night early, please contact us directly and we’ll do our best to assist you with on-campus accommodations. For your flight home at the end of the session, we recommend coordinating a shuttle for an 11:30am pick-up and booking a flight that departs after 2:30pm, if possible.

If you are an athlete attending a session in a country that you are not a resident, you must purchase international travel insurance and provide a certificate of coverage to PGC two weeks prior to the start of your session. The certificate of coverage can be emailed to info@pgcbasketball.com.

Genders, Ages, and Competition:

Genders
All our courses are co-ed, because good basketball is good basketball, regardless of gender. All athletes attend the classroom sessions together, but males and females are separated in the dorms, and, when it makes sense to do so, on the court.

Ages
Read our individual course description pages for the minimum age requirement for each course. There is a maximum age limit for our Prep School course, but there is no maximum age for all of the other PGC courses. We occasional have players in their mid-to-late 20′s attend and have even had players in their 50’s and 60’s attend courses. All that’s required is a strong desire to better understand the game.

Competition
The majority of our sessions have less than 120 athletes. Most typical basketball camps are two to three times the size of our sessions, but we don’t take any more athletes than our course director can know by name. Most of our programs fill up, and we turn away lots of players each summer, but we limit enrollment so that we can provide the best experience possible for athletes. And while the level of competition may vary slightly from session to session, there is nearly always suitable competition for the varying ages and levels of players.

Supervision:

At PGC courses, your safety and well-being are very important to us, but this is not a “camp” with dorm police to watch your every move. You will be expected to wake yourself up, get to meals and sessions on time, and get the rest you need each night. And while we don’t have a lot of rules at PGC, the rules we do have we expect you to uphold, including not entering the dorms of the opposite gender, not leaving the campus at any time (unless it’s with a parent), and being in your room by curfew.

Please note: In all PGC courses, athletes and staff are together as one large group nearly the entire day, and our staff do stay in the dorms with all the athletes. Also, at PGC Prep School courses, enhanced supervision is provided from morning til night for younger athletes.

College Players:

While there are significantly more high school players than college players in attendance each week, college players typically benefit even more than the high school athletes.  We teach details and subtleties of the game, and we frequently discuss situations that only very experienced players can relate to. This is why we’ve found that, typically, the more playing experience someone has, the more likely it is that they’ll benefit from a PGC Basketball course.

Also, many of you who are entering college will have to make the transition to point guard, and you’ll suddenly be asked to handle the ball, set up offenses, lead fast breaks, and create openings for your teammates. The Point Guard College course will help you learn how to do all of that and more.

Parents Observing:

We have found that observers popping in and out of the classroom and gym sessions can be a distraction for athletes, as well as staff. As a result, regardless of whether its parents, family members, local coaches, or friends of athletes, we do not permit any observers at our courses. As a parent, you are welcome to take your son or daughter for a meal off-campus at any time through a session, if desired. And, you’re welcome to register and attend the entire session as an Observing Coach if you would like to sit in on the whole course (and you will benefit from the Coaches’ Discount). A few parents choose to do this at nearly all our sessions.

Repeating a Course

Each course offers more basketball information than anyone can possibly absorb in one week. Plus, as you get more experienced in the game and more mature as a student and as a person, you’ll hear and notice things that you missed or heard differently the first time around.

Here’s what some of our grads had to say about attending a course for second time:

“This was my second time to attend, and I feel as if I passed the point of being overwhelmed and was able to soak in even more information than last time. PGC equipped me to look at basketball in a different way. I feel as if I’ve been given some of basketball’s most important and most hidden secrets. “
Kasey Dabbs, 2-Time PGC Grad

“This was my second time at PGC, and I learned just as much as I did the first time. Each time you attend a course, the skills are ‘re-loaded’ back into your game. Without a doubt, this week has been the most intense and beneficial five days of basketball I have ever had.”
Michael Reimer, 2-Time PGC Grad

What Coaches Are Saying About PGC Courses:

“It’s the best basketball camp in America for learning how to think the game.”
Rick Carlisle | Head Coach (Dallas Mavericks, 2011 NBA Champions)

“My daughter is an enthusiastic graduate of PGC, and I can say without reservation that what they offer is unparalleled in the basketball camp industry. If you can attend only one basketball camp this summer, make it PGC. If you can attend five basketball camps this summer, make them all PGC.”
Greg Brittenham | New York Knicks, Assistant Coach (Player Development)

“I have been fortunate to play the game of basketball as a collegiate, Olympic and professional player. As a new coach at the high school level, I was looking for a great summer camp for my players. After getting rave reviews from coaches around the country, I decided to see PGC for myself. I was hooked within the first 20 minutes. PGC’s lessons on leadership, confidence and doing the little things are a must for any young player, regardless of position.”
Coach Jeff Turner | Orlando, Florida. 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist (USA) and 10-year NBA veteran

“PGC has given me the essential knowledge to become a better teacher of the game. I can’t wait to apply PGC’s terminology and approach to the teams I coach. My practices will never be the same.”
Coach Corliss Williamson | Little Rock, Arkansas (12-year NBA veteran)

“One of my players called her Mom after the first classroom session and said that she had already learned enough to justify the cost of the camp. And she hadn’t even picked up a ball yet. Wow!”
Coach Nick Scalf
| Lawrenceburg, Indiana

“I have worked with some of the best teachers of basketball; however, this week I observed the best teacher of the game of basketball (Dena Evans) that I have ever seen. Your lectures were powerful and purposeful, and most impressively, efficient. Through eleven classroom sessions, not only didn’t you take a breath, but I never once wished that you would. Your preparation is flawless, and not a session went by where I wasn’t impressed with your content and delivery. I can’t tell you how impressed I am with the program and with you. Rest assured that if Dick DeVenzio is watching, he is extremely happy with PGC.”
Coach Dave Jankowski | LaPalma, California

“Outstanding! The best clinic experience I have been witness to in 36 years of coaching! The combination of physical training and the classroom was really unique. I will leave here with plenty of new ideas on how to teach different aspects of the game. I will definitely be encouraging players and coaches alike to experience Point Guard College.
Coach Len Stanley
| Bismark State College

“PGC is a fantastic experience for players and coaches. You will leave this program not only a better basketball player, but a better person. I would love to have an entire team of PGC graduates.”
Coach Tom Beach
| Forest Park, Indiana (2005 & 2006 state champions)

“I’ve been involved in the great game of basketball for 25 years, and I learned more in the first three hours at PGC than in any ten years that I’ve spent in the game.”
Coach Evan Woodward
| Richland, Washington

“Point Guard College is an intensive indoctrination into how to play smart, minimize turnovers, and be a good leader. These are great, great teachers of the game.”
Coach Rick Allison | Arlington, Texas

“PGC is basketball in its purest state: players who are eager to learn, coaches who are enthusiastic about teaching, and an atmosphere filled with positive energy. This is an experience that the players will take with them and apply to all aspects of their lives.”
Coach Jimmy Johnson
| Eddyville, Kentucky

“PGC exceeded my expectations, which were high to begin with. The coach was a superb presenter of the materials. No ‘filler’ words to consume time. Each sentence spoken was noteworthy. The material was top-notch. My notes will be a resource for years to come. Thank you for this great ‘college.’”
Coach David Dong
| San Mateo, California

“All of the drills were game-like and served a definite purpose. It’s awesome how the points of emphasis were reinforced. Each and every player improved. I’ve been to approximately 50 basketball camps, and you truly have the BEST camp in America.”
Coach Laura Sellers
| Normal, Illinois
